Fans of epic heavy metal have been eating well in the last 10-15 years. Despite losing the genres two elder statesmen (Mark Shelton and Bill Tsamis, RIP eternal kings) the genre is seeing a level of activity and notoriety it never has with bands like Eternal Champion, Smoulder, Chevalier, Iron Griffin, Gatekeeper, Clarent Blade, Legendry, Dolmen Gate and now Saxony's Writhen Hilt!

Overall, I am ecstatic about Writhen Hilt! I hope they can continue to harness what is obviously a true passion and love for Epic Heavy Metal into a full length album because when the production is spot on and when those melodies hit, they are among the very best to do it. Godspeed
