VED BUENS ENDE - Those Who Caress The Pale Digi-CD

There is a tendency to dismiss Ved Buens Ende's "Those Who Caress the Pale" demo as a prototype for "Written in Waters". I can see why, it is not as good or as forward thinking as what followed. The album expanded on the avant-garde ideas which are only hinted at here. Comparisons aside, this excellent demo contains three full Ved Buens Ende songs which were never recorded for the album. The three guys in the band were already accomplished musicians by this point, and were destined for progressive black metal greatness. Neglect this demo and you neglect a valuable part of the band's brief history.
