So this album achieves that feat of being both deliberately grotesque and good metal simultaneously. Lose the kitsch setting for just one moment, and take the music for what it is: some of the material on here is actually good stuff. As the listener there's a strange sense of seeing the spoof, but still feeling a genuinely eerie atmosphere within the music. In that sense, the actual music is like the very fictional show it depicts: amusing yet unsettling at the same time for the consumer.
