If ever there was one band that absolutely deserved that once-in-a-lifetime chance at collaboration with a hugely grandiose and hideously expensive symphonic orchestra, Nightfall are probably that very band. Symphonic metal groups of their ilk are everywhere these days, a deathly streak of ferocity coming out in their genetic make-up as they breed feverishly in the shadow of the Nightwishs and Within Temptations of the world, and 9.999 times out of ten, their ambitions lead them to ape those genre giants in pursuit of grand, overblown, and usually very catchy tunes.
