LETHAL AGGRESSION - Life Is Hard... But That's No Excuse At All! CD

Lethal Aggression deal in a collision between thrash metal and hardcore punk, that manages to fuse manic rage with mosh ready stomp, while greedily taking elements from both styles to incorporate into the volatile mix. There's searing lead guitar work, gang vocals, double kick stomp, mosh parts, fast power chord charged rage, a snotty punk snarl, and even some primitive blast beat terror shoved into the works. The songs are short, mostly furious hardcore punk charged miniatures that have me thinking of acts as diverse as old Agnostic Front, Dead Horse, old Murphy's Law, Siege, Cryptic Slaughter, The Exploited and Septic Death, with in the more midtempo parts and vocals a shine of Suicidal Tendencies added. It's a varied approach where midtempo punk-ish pogo style alternates with more thrashing tempos and frothing at the mouth blasting ferocity. The band delivers the music in a loose and punkish way, yet it never deteriorates into uncoordinated mush, staying energetic and on point throughout.
