This album has everything you want in a death metal album: guttural vocals, aggressive vocals, fast riffs, slow riffs, brutal blast beats, badass bass, etc. To break it down, the strongest aspect of the album is the riffs, they are simply insane and mindblowing, some of the best riffs you will find in all of death metal. So many different riffs being thrown at you, and while it is chaotic it is also organized and makes sense. The riffs are catchy, fun, and technical, they use many techniques such as pinch harmonics, tapping, and sweep picking...for riffs. John Gallagher was at his peak here in terms of creativity and skill, the level of riffs here is just unmatched. It is an absolute assault on your senses and your understanding of metal riffing. They also implement tasteful and technical solos, some being brutal while some are even melodic. Simply the guitar work here is some of the best in the genre, I would not change any single note they played here. The drumming also has to be mentioned on its own, Kevin Talley's snare sound is brutally beautiful. The pingy sound of his snare makes his blast beats even more devastating and awesome.
