DEFEATED SANITY - Chronicles of Lunacy CD

Overall, this album deserves the highest mark in this genre. With time, it should be considered one of the best releases in death metal in general. Especially in today’s modern scene, it’s hard to find a band that mixes technical death metal with slam (Devourment style) so perfectly. Most modern slam vocalists stick to deep gutturals throughout entire songs with less technical play from drums or guitars, but here it’s the opposite. You get very high and complex technical music, audible from the first second. For the last three albums, Defeated Sanity has moved more toward brutality, which works incredibly well. I hope we’ll get more interesting, slammy releases from these guys in the future. This is a must-listen album for every death metal enthusiast.
