CARCASS - Reek Of Putrefaction LP (Black Vinyl)

Carcass shaped an entirely new genre with this album. Which would only be topped by their sophomore album “Symphonies of Sickness” a year later. It’s still mind-blowing to me that an album this gore-induced and brutal came out in 1988 before a lot of pioneers in the brutal death metal scene. I love everything about this album from its lyrics to its music. “Symphonies of Sickness” would do this style ten times better, but “Reek of Putrefaction” is also a perfect extreme metal release to me. Check this monster out if you're new to grind and goregrind. A classic album.
